2021 Gold Rush Ball Sponsorship Prospectus

Young Aggies Moree would like to extend an opportunity to your business to be a valued supporter of the 2021 Gold Rush Ball, to be held from 6pm on 25 September 2021 at Bank Art Museum Moree.

Young Aggies is a diverse committee of young professionals from across the Moree district. Our remit is simple: to attract and retain young talent in the Moree Plains Shire, with a focus on our thriving agricultural industries. We aim to provide a supportive environment to nurture the development of the next generation alongside access to professional development and employment opportunities to continue to build capacity.

The Gold Rush Ball is the highlight of our annual calendar. Since its inception in 2013, this black tie evening has served as a pre-harvest celebration and it is looking like there will be plenty to celebrate again this year. However, more importantly, it is our major fundraising opportunity and this year we are contributing all profits from the Gold Rush Ball to the Young Aggies Rural

Scholarship Fund.

The Rural Scholarship Fund provides a bursary to tertiary students in agricultural disciplines to complete two weeks’ work experience in the Moree region. While the fund is still in its infancy, our aspiration is that the experiences gained and network built will see these students return upon finishing their studies. 2020 was the largest year yet for the scholarship with a record number of applicants and three exceptional students completing the program, generously hosted by a range of local businesses. There are few businesses in Moree that would not have seen challenges in securing staff and we hope this initiative will help with easing this pressure moving forward.

After a venture west to Mallawa Racecourse in 2019 and a year off in 2020, 2021 will see the Gold Rush Ball return to the Moree township and be the first event of this scale hosted at BAMM. The evening will feature a two-course meal by The Goods Catering and dancing into the night with 2021 Golden Guitar nominee Hurricane Fall. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for the ticket release, as we welcome you all to join us for an opportunity to showcase our community to staff, clients, friends and family.
